SHEENA M. MORRISON

Sheena M. Morrison is a first generation New Yorker who hails from both the South Bronx and Central Harlem. She comes to Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) from a background in various disciplines: community health education, history of public health and medicine, digital photography, plus experience in multi-media exhibitions. Sheena brings the knowledge and practice of these disciplines and multiple social identities to her role as curator. Influenced by personal, academic and professional experiences, her interest and commitment to diversity is paramount. She delights in the opportunity to bring to light new ideas and hidden assumptions that examine and celebrate the human experience in all of its joys and sorrows.
